I started to restore a 1975 GL 1000 about 8 months ago. Got everything working and the bike running well, but the neutral light was on in every gear. I bought a used neutral switch and checked to out before installling it in the bike. The switch worked fine for about 100 miles and then would be on when the bike was in Fifth gear. Then about 50 miles later it would be on in fouth and fifth. Now, again about 50 miles later it is on in first, fouth and fifth. Is this a problem with the early GL's or do I just need to buy a "new" switch?
