Hey there Y'all,
First off myself and the bike are fine but... Last Tuesday my wife and I were on a back road in northeast Pa. when from 2 feet to my right a wild turkey flushed up out of the bush.. at about 40mph I got a fantastic look at his chest about 6 inches in front of my windshield. He broke off my left mirror but didnt upset the bike at all.
Ordered a new mirror stay then repaired the old one with some jb weld..48 hours later reassembled and all is good.
Goes to show ya never know...lol

We had that happen in Wisconsin but we were in my wife's Jeep. It still scared us silly. You might want to read member Mad Russian's thread about his encounter with an albatross.

Glad you weren't hurt, sorry about the bike.

You are indeed correct. I came looking for this thread to make a correction so thanks for beating me to it.

Glad you are okay. I saw what a turkey did to the windshield of a Dodge pickup and it wasn't pretty. My wife and I were riding in near Grayling MI and 3 or 4 turkeys flew across the road in front of us. Luckily not contact.
