I just went from an 1100 Ace to a 2008 GL1800 and I love the new "Cloud". I just put my first 80 miles on the Wing and two questions come up that I never had on other bikes.
1. The first three gears of the wing drop in awfully hard on the upshift. It happens when shifting at low and high RPM's, low and high speed. Not so bad on the downshift. Is this normal?? I know its shaft drive, but so is the Ace and it is much smoother.

2. When I hit a minor bump in the road I feel an after bump on the bike. It seems, and feels to be coming from somewhere low on the bike. Does the center stand bang against the frame on little bumps.

Other than these two irritants, I love this thing.

??

1. The bike is not broke in yet. It has only 80 miles on it. I was a little surprised that there is no mention of break in procedures in my manual, so I am breaking in as most other internal combustion engines recommend. (No quick starts, stops, varied speeds and no Excessive high speed)

2. I have not set the suspension. The manual is vague on that also other that 0-26 settings w/ 0 being lightest. Its @ 0 and it seems to ride comfortably to me other than the previous mentioned bangs.
RECOMMENDATIONS??? Thanks.
