Yes, a bore scope to take a peek at the air filter.
The other option is to just go ahead and change it yourself. This will give you experience
of how to do that and also give you a new filter baseline for future changes.
Depending on your road conditions, you may not have to change it for quite a while.
Where I am, I usually change the air filter at about 35,000 to 45,000 miles. Even then it does not show a concerning amount of obstruction or debris. I also do not have a mouse issue.
Everyone's conditions are different.
