I was hoping someone here might be able to help me. I bought a bike as non running from a guy who claimed it just needed a starter. After lots of trouble shooting we still can’t get it to start. So first off the starter button does not actuate the starter, but when I use a screw driver I can jump the 2 leads to solenoid A and the starter spins strong. The main problem with the bike is the fuel pump does not run and the spark plugs get no spark, the fuel pump works when I jump it to the battery. I also verified the ECM is getting 12 volts and the coils are getting 11.7 volts while cranking. The battery is reading good, and I have had it hooked up to a charger while doing these tests. I have bought a replacement ECM that made no difference, and I bought a replacement pulse generator(one tested bad and they looked terrible when I took them out). And that made no difference, I have bypassed the BAS and the kill switch. The neutral light is on and it is not stuck in reverse. The side stand light also works as it should. Every single light on the bike is working, but no matter what I do I still get no spark or fuel pump. I was hoping someone can help me get this thing back on the road where it belongs. Let me know if I explained anything poorly, or if this is the wrong place to post. I am at my wits end, Thanks in advance!

First of all, welcome to the forum.

Check the kill switch. They are known to be an issue on the 1500s.

The guy I bought it from had a video of it running and it was time stamped for a few months prior. But sadly I have only heard it turn over not run. There was a sticker saying the timing belt was changed at 120k and while I was doing the pulse generators it looked like it was in pretty good shape. If only I could get the darn thing to start.
