I've had my goldwing for a year now and am really pleased with it. I'm thinking on taking it for a 5000km (3200mile) round trip this summer to Cdn prairies and down to South Dakota. I am confident that it will make the trip but I have noticed a heating up condition when in heavy traffic at low speeds 1st 2nd gear for 10-20 minuts. Is this normal or should I be looking for a problem? I have checked coolant level (good) and new oil. Looking for advice. Thanks
What year Gold Wing is it? The 01 02 & 03 Gold Wings have a recall for the ECM unit that causes them to over heat at low speeds in traffic. Also a head check was made to see if there was blockage in the head.
