Welcome aboard. I had an '83 Aspy years ago and loved it. I believe you will enjoy your Interstate just as much.

 

Thank you. I’m hoping to enjoy it as soon as I get the rest of the final things done. Timing belts, new rear tire and possible carb rebuild. But do like the bike. Can’t wait till warmer weather.

 

The 83’ was the last year they had ‘hot’ cams with 4 carbs in them. They are quite quick, and seem to wind up easily, making for a very fun and spirited ride, if you want. They do like to ‘have the carbon blown out’ of them from time to time.

Can’t wait for the weather to warm up in Michigan. It’s running a bit rough but I do plan on blowing the carbon out of her. Really looking forward to riding her. My Triumph is in the shop so who knows how long that’ll be but at least the GL is ready for the road.
