Question has been asked over and over and trying to find the right Car Tire for the 1800 is a exercise in futility. So, in order to give some help to those asking "What car tire will fit my 1800, lets do this.

1. Year of your 1800
2. List your tire name and size
3. Run Flat or Not Run Flat
4. Miles on your Car Tire at your posting.
5. Evaluate your Car Tire's overall performance. 1 to 10 with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best.
6. Will you stay a Darksider? Yes/No

This way anyone wanting to explore going Darkside with their 1800 can read this thread and at least compile a list of tires and a little data to help them make a decision without having to roam every thread on the subject attempting to get information.

Excellent ISSAC! Good idea. I'm a little scattered by chasing this info all over this and other forums. Pretty sure I'll be GOING darkside next time. Would have this time but it was an emergency when I visited uncle Pete in Florida. This is why...

Ride! It really doesn't matter where.

Gave credit to the wrong Person earlier. Sorry. Thanks again Issac for starting this effort.

Isaac nicely done. I have made this a sticky.
Thanks Foss....Question I have is where did the thread for the 1500's go? The idea here was to separate the 1800 from the 1500 so that which ever bike you had, it would be easier to find the info. 2 identical threads, just different bikes.Just wondering...Isaac

Thanks for the info. I think i will try either the michelin alpin pa3 or the hankook ventus v4 on rear, and the bridgestone 709's on the front. My 1800 is an 09 and it is the same color as yours. has 8000 miles on it now, bought it last fall with 2100 at that time. I put a few goodies on the bike since the purchase such as; faring bra, exaust turndowns, kuryakan cup holder, and lower running lights. If i can get the tire situation worked out I'll be real happy with the bike.

Sorry, I take that back-- It's not the same color - mine is the gun metal gray. I previosly had a 1500 with over 90,000 mls on it. It was the purl white anniversary eddition. That was a sweet ride. I miss her!
