I just completed (for the most part) the 16,000 mile scheduled maintenance on my 2018 GL1800 Tour DCT. Changing the air filter was fun. My question is if I were to bring the bike to my dealer to perform this scheduled maintenance, would they have performed the inspections for the evaporative emission control, secondary air supply and the entire fuel line? And if so, I can't imagine that not costing a small fortune. According to the service manual that I have the fuel tank needs to be removed to perform these inspections. It didn't take me very long to decide that I was not doing that. I did inspect as much of the fuel line that I could while changing the air filter but I did not inspect the evaporative emission control or secondary air supply.
