I have a 89 wing and I am looking for good modification for a 12 volt aux power outlet. Any suggestions?

Depending on what you want to power, if it is a light load, Cell phone charger or GPS unit
there are a Positive and ground terminal at the top of the fuse panel, located under the left side cover. It's fused at 5 amps. I wouldn't try hooking any large light loads or stuff like that to it. But a cell charger or GPS would be fine. Plus when you turn the bike off the power is removed from the terminals, no chance of letting something hooked up and running the battery down.

If you are running a heavy load you can hook up a relay to the accessory terminal and hook you accessories to the relay, It will go on and off with the key.

Right on Joe. When relay number 3's socket started give me problems, I pull the output wire from the relay out and used the accessory terminal power to switch a relay. Problem solved!!.
