I am looking into going over to the Darkside but I would like to fit my 2012 with the tallest rear tire possible. if anyone has done this was there any noticeable effect on Highway rpms? I would like to keep my wing under 3k on the turnpike. I normally run 70-75 mph.

The General Altimax 205/60/16 or the Goodyear Triple Treads 205/60R/16, are actually a tad bit taller. :)

Lee,

Very Nice List

I do wish there was a few more choices for the 1500. You 1800 darksiders are spoiled rotten.

On my 2008, the taller 70 series tire corrected the speedo, which usually read 5 mph slow.

Isn't the speedometer driven off the front wheel?

The speed sensor in the front is for the ABS system and other ECU functions. On the Wing, like many automobiles, the speed of the rear wheel, thus rear tire diameter, is important. If you put your Wing up on the centerstand and put it in gear, it will show the speed on the speedo even though the front tire is stationary.

See my signature. for tire size...You're NOT going to get below 3,000 rpms over 70mph. Even with the taller 70 series.
