Purchased from second owner in July of 2014 with 89,000 kilometers (55,000 miles) on the odometer. I immediately replaced the timing belts, spark plugs, oil, and filter. I also cut out a couple of major electrical connectors that were corroded and melted (including the infamous "3 yellow wire" connector) and neatly and tightly spliced and soldered the wires together.
Over the winter of 2014/2015, I replaced the Michelin Hi-Tour 79 front tire with a Shinko 230 Tour Master. I also upgraded the fork springs to Progressive Heavy Duty springs and changed the old fork oil with Screaming Eagle heavy duty racing fork oil. MUCH smoother ride! I also purchased a Shinko 230 Tour Master rear tire but haven't replaced the perfectly good Michelin Commander II yet.
