Im beginning to dislike HONDA

I'm Mike, 66 and retired. Ive got a 94 goldwing trike that has been very reliable until receintly.

Replaced the driveshaft Monday, took it for a ride and the clutch slave cylinder blew a gasket.

I noticed that in the videos I could find, most of the slave cylinders were located on the left side of

the bike, but mine is in the middle, and you can get to it from the bottom. Im not fond of jacking up

a heavy trike and crawling under it, jack stands or not.

any suggestions?

Never had o get to my slave cylinder. But if you have to get under the bike, you might ry running the front wheel up on a block using a ramp to get it there.

How did someone manager to put the clutch slave cylinder in a different location? They are normally mounted on the clutch cover. Now the rear brake master cylinder that can be a P.I.T.A. to find on some conversions.

Honda put an extension tube with the bleeder fitting for flushing the slave cylinder of fluid in on the left side. That is what you are seeing in the videos. The slave cylinder itself on the 1500 has always been where yours is. If you remove the exhaust pipes and then the crossover chamber, this will give you more room. Jacking the rear of the bike up will just give you more room to work. I did not have to crawl under mine (non trike) when I did work in this area. I did everything on the center stand. You just have to remove some parts to get better access.

First off welcome, but sorry for your plight. Thanks to Dan and trike lady for the input and advice for your issue.

Since it's a trike conversion, the onus isn't really all Honda's, but also the conversion manufacturer's for making your life miserable. In Honda's defense, they didn't design Wings to have three wheels, someone else modified the machine and that's where things get kind of sideways. We love our two wheel Accords, but one of the issues for repairs and maintenance is a result of condensing a very well equipped four wheel people mover onto two wheels in as compact and tidy a fashion as possible. Add in a chassis rework and there you have it. Hope you have as little as possible trouble getting things back in order soon.
