Drivers backrest

Another perceivable "need" is a drivers backrest. I want one that does not make it uncomfortable for the boss to get on and off. It seems from the video that the Kurakyn does not sit upright when you are not in the saddle, making it awkward getting on. Any opinions?

TIA

Check out the Utopia, it installs down through the back of the drives seat. Might check on Wing Stuff.

Utopia here. Leans forward for loading the backseat driver. Super comfortable on long rides.

Utopia also makes one that pulls out to remove. I wish they had that option when I bought mine.
I just push it forward and down into the driver's seat when my wife gets on.

Utopia is what you want.

I watched the video of the Utopia backrest. I see how it folds forward nicely, but in the video it looks like he has to hold it up when he gets on. Does it not stand up straight by itself?

There is adjusting nut on mine that tightens of loosens the pivoting tension. In other words, you decide how easy it folds over.

I have a Utopia also (Thanks Lee and Tom). Would recommend it. Makes long rides a lot more comfortable.

There is no spring loading in the Utopia I have. But you can adjust the tightness of the nut on the pivot bolt, which will keep the seat from "flopping" forward, so it'll stay where you put it. Inelegant perhaps, but effective.
