Jinx 823Jim what does that have to do with 2001 - 2017 gl1800 . They don't have speed limiters. They have rev limiters and personally I don't think it is smart or safe to increase the manufactures redline.

From all that I have read the speed limiter is programmed in the ECU. This can be eliminated by having the ECU reflashed. Here is where you can get that done.

By any chance were you in fourth gear ? The bike does have a rev limiter that would do that. Again I have easily exceeded 120mph on both of my bikes . Both bikes would run out of power at around 127 mph but were far from redline in fifth. Next time I have a chance I will see what speed fourth redlines at if it can.

Fast streak The engine would shut down and when rpms dropped it would start back up. It did so repeatedly. This would occur around 117 on speedometer
