That's where it is. If you take the rear center fender off you will see the 'black' box.

bobmcc81 I have a 2007 and can't find any external amp in either rear saddlebag. I have rear speakers and the sound is adequate but I'm not hearing 80 watts worth.

Does the 2007 Base model have the amp?

Thanks

Jeff Martin Already upgraded the Front and the Rear, I need the Kick from an Amp and Sub..

bcihil Just make sure you get the Marine speakers. Remember, your rear speakers are smaller than the front.

phillipgym Wow I'm glad I seen these post because now I know . Well some of us just love louder clarity with better speaker quality but I guess I'll just order my speakers then. Crutchfield has perfect equipment for our wings.

Same here. No loud pipes but killer audio. I believe it's 80 watts per channel. OEM speakers are just adequate. I've never even thought about upgrading the speakers. They do just fine.
Plus, if another amp is added, any distortion from the audio system will also be amplified and may make it worse.
I personally do not understand why people want louder music than it comes with.
Clearer sound can be accomplished by better speakers.
When i had my 2004, I installed J&M speakers. They made a big difference.
