I run Torqmaster Kingsnakes with dual baffles in each side. Yes, there is some drone on the highway, but I usually have the tunes cranked so I nor my passenger notices it much.
2 observations, 1 from before I put the pipes on:
From my HD riding friends: "is that thing actually running" which of course, it was. But they all had Screaming Eagles or other aftermarket pipes and with their bikes chuffing away it did make it hard to tell. After the pipe install (only single baffles for the initial test run it was like "wow, what did you do to your bike? Sounds like a Porsche." I must say it does sound rather nice at full song, I prefer the single baffles if I'm solo. Not so good in a group with other Wingers though, especially if one or two of them are close behind me. When traveling either two up or solo, I use both baffles now.
From my first meeting with the GWRRA group at a camp-out: "That can't be a Goldwing, they don't make noise like that!" The guys all liked the sound, the women didn't.
So I toned it down a mite, only comments I've had since is pretty well everyone (it's a guy thing mostly) like the clean and bigger look of my pipes.

|cliffsclassic||I just did a 4 day trip with my new Cobra (black) 6 to 2 to 6 pipes with the baffles in....I had 3 people come into my lane and either they did not see me, or they did not hear me, or they simply did not care! I was on California highways so that could explain a lot, LOL After returning home I removed ALL the baffles and I prefer the sound sooooo much more. Most of my cars / trucks have dual exhaust as I have always needed to hear my motors! Hopefully now the CAGERS will hear me and not try to run me out of my lane. But as they say: to each his own...and I am enjoying my bike that much more!|

I went back to stock and after an itch decided to do the black ceramic TL and an all stainless steel Alley Kat exhaust. Now I am happy. Much better without drone resonance at cruising speed.|

I have Cobra slip ons and I really like em! Sounds a little meatier now.

|Fatboy46||I took the baffles out of my 97 Aspencade (Trike)- expecting a decent sound. Well, too much drone. the exhaust exits UNDER the trunk kit. So I added some fishtail tips- turned them flat, to just barely extend out from under the edge of the bumper- so as to not drag them off on driveways- and voila! the sound is BEHIND me now. Much better. Not perfect.. but cheaper than another $300-500 in SS exhaust parts.|

|Buddruffin||I appreciate you sharing your post, have been disputing concerning exhaust systems. After reading your post it has caused me to have more thought and it has help me with some of my decisions. Is the catalytic converter still on your bike. With the exhaust modifications? Also I must say that is a beautiful bike. Once again thank you for your post|

|DonP.||I recently installed the Cobra 6x2x6 pipes on my 2015 and really like the sound. I guess it does sound a bit like a Turbo Porsche howling under load. It does drone a bit but I like hearing the engine working now. Seems to have freed up the engine a bit and faster to rev but it could just be the placebo effect I also like the black look of the pipes and how they extend out the back past the bottom of the bags. I'm keeping the stock mufflers incase the novelty wears off. I need a long trip to decide if they are a keeper or not...|
