budoka The "low" road back into East Glacier is a great ride as well, lots of tight twisties and way less vehicular traffic than the Logan Pass as you travel through the hills before getting into the more populated park. Be mindful of cattle gates and livestock though. They can ruin a great day.

Agree 100%. Very little traffic. Loved Hwy 200 and others on the way.

Bluehighways I highly recommend that a visit include taking one of the old time looking bus tours. When you're the driver of your bike, there is a lot you miss; even IF you don't text! My better half suggested it. I was very glad that we took advantage of it.

Ladybug Breathtaking scenery. A bucket list ride for sure.

skills4lou My wife actually suggested this ride to me yesterday. The surprising part is that she is very susceptible to acrophobia. Who knows, we might see you up there too.

Never gets old
Definitely get out early
Ride it both ways
The restaurant at the St Marys campground is great food and historical pictures
A stop at the hungry Horse dam is another good bet

[email protected] I had plans to get out there in Mid September last year but the fires burned out that plan. Friends of mine live in hungry horse and say from June to end of August its usually a mad house. Get up early and get in the park to avoid the stalemate, That way as you are on your way out you can pass up all the other's that slept in to late.

Yellowstone was our next bet and of all things...we get snowed out in a freak snowstorm, three days in the park turned into only 5 hours worth of being in there. They closed the park on us on our way out of the south entrance.

Glacier is back on the list for this year, hope the fires stay away.

guyval I rode it last year in August, really Smokey that time.
Also as mentioned it's like single file tourist trap.

Still beautiful though, ya have to do it once.

Enjoy
