Hey all, this is Greg. I have owned 156 motorcycles so far and the gl1500 if my second Goldwing. want to learn more about the bike and maybe I can share some knowledge too. I have a bunch of bike now from a Ducati to a new KTM. I like all kinds of riding and love to race vintage MX.

Newbie Here I just recently picked up a 1982 interstate that was supposedly a running drive it home special for $500 no battery to actually verify long story is that it was seized up I got it free cleaned carbs new battery and all I'm getting is backfire unless I switch the plugs at the coil then I get it to run but not 100% so I read somewhere about a timing advance shaftand to make sure the bolt isn't snapped but can't find this part to verify any help appreciated

Hello, first time Gold wing owner. I bought a 80 GL1100i that had been sitting for a couple of years outside. Very low miles, around 15k. I have always wanted a Gold Wing and from my observation, this looked like a project bike in my court yard. What heck was I thinking?

My first bike at the age of 15 was a Harley Davidson.... 50cc 3 speed shift on the handle bar. Wish I still had it today. I've had a Suzuki 185, Yamaha 650, and now I've up graded to the wing. I've ridden Gold wings before that a friend lent me, so I'm not a stranger to one.

So back in June, I loaded up the wing onto my trailer and parked the bike in my back yard, through up a pop up canopy tent over it and there it is still sits. I've been having troubles with the carbs ever since.

I will discuss what I've been doing and what I have already done in the "Engine Work" forums.

Just joined your forum. From Omaha NE, one of your older riders (72) on a 97 GL Aspencade SE. Love the bike, lots of lights, chrome, and only 49K on the bike. Love to do road trips any time I can.
