First of all, welcome to the forum.

I hate to say it, but that doesn't look like a hitch for a 1500.

Welcome to GWOF from Texas. There are a lot of good folks here who can help.

Maybe this will give you some general idea?

Welcome top the site. If that is a Big Bike hitch those instructions should help. It's been too long since I installed a hitch on a 1500 so I'm not much help.

All I can say is welcome to you from Mississippi. Hope you figure out if that hitch will work for a 1500.

Howdy! Welcome to the forum Paul!

The best thing invented for long distance touring was the Honda Goldwing. The second best thing was motorcycle highway cruise control.
