I love the 2018, even if i'm only borrowing it while my 2017 with 400 miles undergoes an engine overhaul. Not to throw a monkey wrench in the conversation, but have you looked at the Yamaha Venture? A friend has one and if a REAL cruiser with plenty of storage space is what you're looking for, it might be an option. Honda has chosen to move to a more sportier bike, with less storage space in the 2018. That's why I bought the new 2017 Goldwing.

Welcome to the forum and good luck on choosing a new bike. There are lots of choices out there.

Damn liflyboy, sounds like the dealer that sold you that 2017 failed at completing or conducting a through Pre Delivery Inspection.

Update on the status of my 2016 Road Glide Ultra CVO. The dealer received the replacement engine today and has the install scheduled for next Wednesday and Thursday 15-16 August 2018. So, I should have my bike back on Thursday or Friday next week. Looks like Saturday 18 August I'll be trading her in for the new 2018 GW Tour DCT. Just need to figure out what color I want... The dealer i have been going to only has the red one on the floor. I want to find the White and Blue bike to see them in person before I make up my mind.

Hey Vegas, welcome to the forum from Hot and muggy Georgia!
I have a 2012 GL with 86 K+ original and my own miles. I put it in on in less than four years. Besides changing the oil, brakes, tires and air filter you donít have to do anything at all. It purrs, it roars and itís fast and nimble.
You will love it. Go ahead, pull the trigger and youíll never look back!

Well it took a couple weeks but as of 08/21/2018 I am the proud owner of a 2018 Goldwing Tour DCT. My wife named her Candy. She is dressed out in a Pearl Hawkseye Blue dress. So far I’m loving her. I have about 125 miles on her already, and she is riding smooth as can be. Toying around with the preload settings and finally after a few hours of reading the owners manual, figured out how to get Apple car play to work. (Turn bike on, turn on headset, plug phone into USB port). Still learning all the functions of the bike, and there are a lot of them. Just takes time. Already ordered a bunch of stuff and spent all my fun money, so I’ll have to save and wait to get the rest of the items I want.

Congrats on the new ride. I hope the accessories you've started with include passenger armrests, cup holders front and rear, and highway pegs in that order.

Now, get on it and ride near and far. Texas would be good in October. I'll be going to the Hill Country Nov23, 24, 25 ( Fri-Sat-Sun after Thanksgiving).

Ride often. Ride far. Ride safe and do much more of both.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach him how to surf the GWOF and he won't bother you for weeks, maybe months
I'll be waitin' for you at the end of the road.
If everything had gone as planned, it would not have been an adventure.

After making my purchases, yeah I probably should have went for comfort accessories first rather than the convince add on's. Oh well, it's just money right?
