Welcome to the GWOF, have had a great experience here with the
knowledge this guys have and the meet and greets. You ever get around Bryan/College Station let us know we will buy you a cup of coffee and ride along for a while.
Come on in this house, Cliff. Have a seat and stay for while.
The GWRRA chapter I ride with is coming down to Heitmiller Steakhouse in a few weeks, Sunday the 26th. Leaving Mansfield at 9am, probably take some backroads and get to LL sometime between 11 and noon. Come out meet another bunch of Wingers. And that goes for anybody else in the area.
Cool, will definitely try. I think I have something going that day but I will definitely try if not.
Welcome along Cliff to the GWOF. A few items that seems most folks add on their bikes for comfort are....Backrest, Highway Pegs/Boards (I prefer pegs so I can move my feet into many positions), either an aftermarket seat (or mods to stock) or a riding pad such as gel or airhawk, and some folks add handlebar risers.
Now having said all these things Don't be in a hurry to make changes. Put some miles on the bike, then ask some questions here from the members, get feedback, and then make the decision on goodies.
Of course there are those out there that add chrome doodads, lights, and such but for me an add on to my Wing either provides comfort or performance. Not interested in the other stuff.
I definitely will be adding back support. I have a bad back and that will be a must. Does anyone have any suggestions on this area? I would prefer not to cut my factory seat if possible. Are there any good ones that don't require cutting?
