I have a 2004 GW and chose sena 20 evo with a Freewire. Works with factory audio and CB, I have Garmin plugged into freewire for directions, and paired to phone.
I can answer and initiate calls, listen to music, use cb, talk with my wife, share bike audio with her. And she can pair to her phone for calls or listen to Pandora. Also both headsets have built in FM radio.
The units have a steep learning curve, which takes a while to remember how to do it all. I am powering the freewire from the ignition, it pairs up when you start and that is one less thing to charge. Battery time on headsets is about 14-16 hours so far. Radio unit just snaps onto helmet base.
I answered a call the other day, riding @65mph. I talked for a minute or so, and ask about the sound quality, he couldnt believe I was riding. He couldnt hear any wind noise and voice was clear.
Head set unit also has an Ambient mode, if you turn this on, you can hear whats going on outside your helmet, handy for conversation without removing helmet.

The bad news is, retail I spent about $1000 on all stuff. Plus my time grafting an aux out onto my old Garmin.

Got my Goldwing headset tonight. I will try it out tomorrow. I have tried my Sena 5 and it works great. I can even pair it up with the display on my KTM Duke 390.

All I want to hear in my helmet SMH5 is the wife and phone. So, I bought a cheap Bluetooth adapter for the Aux input on my '06 for the Garmin 396 to give directions or MP3 music through, thus bypassing Garmin's screw-up of not including wired audio out on the unit. I learned to not let the 396 pair with the phone or SMH5, as it is very unreliable and the phone can vouce dial just fine should I need to male a call. Can't use the Sena app to link to the phone for weather and traffic, though. I'll give those up for reliable phone and intercom.
