Good morning, oops, afternoon y'all. If someone didn't mention it was Friday I wouldn't have known. It's day 10 for me with more to go before heading home.

Most of my Team bugged out yesterday for a bunch of fires near Amarillo, TX. They left a handful of us here in Fort Davis to finish up this fire. I think I'm in charge. The Information Section posted this picture of me giving the Operations portion of the briefing the other day. I'm down from about 400 firefighters yesterday to 70 today. Everyone else headed to the other fires. This one is at 19,000 acres and is static, that one is 60,000 acres and growing. If all goes as planned I will finish up here on Saturday, help with breaking down the camp Sunday, and closing out with the State and County Judge on Monday. Then I get to head up there to see if I can help. My last day should be Tuesday, but I may stay a few days longer if needed. As long as I'm home by Friday and get a weekend off. Martena probably (hopefully?) wants to see a little of me before I leave on the bike for two weeks.

Morning all

the weekend has arrived! and the weather report here has changed from rain sat, clear sun, to clear all weekend!
my projects for today are to do an oil and filter change, and to install the CB wiring harness, and handle bar control pod, so it will be ready for the CB when it arrives (for function testing). I may take care of the final drive oil change too.

then, while i wait for my new timing belts to arrive, i can at least use my bike for local rides.

You call it a ride. Some of us call in a "walk in the park"

A ride with Chopin feels like a walk in the park. You are parked longer that you ride so you may as well walk to your destination and leave the bike Parked at home.

Have a good time

Daughter's driving down as I post from Utah with our 10 year old granddaughter to help out with Deb who has surgery on Monday. Survived chemo, now on to next stage of journey. So far all is working out and she and her oncologist are super happy with results.

Good morning everyone from NE Pa. Rain in the forecast for the next couple of days. Good time to get somethings done around the house. Have a good day and be careful out there.
