when i got my diagnosis of degenerative joint disease in my back, i was told i may as well sell my bike.
that was back with my 82 GL1100I. i did eventually sell it... after i bought my current bike.

Knee

[QUOTE=travis.farmer;2136906]i can understand not being able to work, but not being able to ride?!?!

I couldn't bend the knee without pain, also it's the left knee so shifting and putting foot down to stop might've been a disaster. Better safe than hospitalized again! Feeling better already, can bend it about 20 degrees today already. Hoping to be back to my life by Thursday. (I'll probably try a ride on Tuesday though).
Bummer is, it's a damn fine day out there, low 90's and clear. Would really rather be at work.

Took the 3 grandkids to a wildlife park. All 3 came home with us despite the angle of this photo.

went riding this morning on the Mighty ST 1300, got a few pic's. came home had lunch before going to the dealer to pick up some parts for the st1100. once back home I made a burger and had some fries for lunch before heading out and doing an oil change and installing the new battery on the Mighty ST 1300

I had some intentions to work on several projects today, but instead, i watched it rain. oh, some of the stuff could have been done in the rain, but for some reason, i lose all motivation when it rains. well, unless i am outside, then i am motivated to get inside.
I did clean up the contacts on the two clutch switches, so now i can start the bike in gear again. i also had to shim the lever a bit, though i don't know how long the shim will stay put.
i could have done more, but it would require me to take the bike out of the shed, and into the rain.
one of these days i should pop out the front and rear speakers and replace them, when affordable. i don't use them very much, but they look like sin, all tattered (yet still working ) best i could research, 4.5 inch for the fronts, and 4 inch for the rear. i may just get some cheap paper cone speakers, or i may get something better. like i said, i don't use them much. if i go paper, i will have to use spray silicon to seal them.

still on the lookout for a CB radio solution, that i can afford. i was tempted to mount my car mobile CB transceiver somewhere on the bike, and make up an adapter to use a corded headset connection. but i could not find any place to mount it. a factory CB with the wiring harness would work, but i have not found one i can afford. still not happy with my Cardo ScalaRider G9x, but as i have "updated" the earphones, i doubt anybody would take it in trade...

anyway, i was board from watching rain, so i thought i would ramble off some gibberish.

I have been researching the cb thing as I would like to incorporate it as well. Bought a working cb as well as a second with the radio connection harness. Everything works, just no control. The SE handlebar control will not directly “ plug and play” with the Aspencade harness, of which I have. The Aspencade required a Hondaline cb “kit”, of which I do not have and can’t find anywhere. These things have to connect somehow! Does anybody have wiring schematics of both the SE audio wiring as well as the Aspencade wiring harness?

I put on my tux, threw my chaps and leathers over them and went to a party. I was the only one wearing formal wear who arrived on a motorcycle.

Oh is that what they mean when they say "it's a full dresser"?
