praying to the bike gods for good weather on monday

so, Monday i have an appointment, many miles away, to get my bank angle sensor recall taken care of. the weather for Monday? rain in the morning. and of course, my appointment is in the morning.
I don't mind riding in the rain. the windshield and fairing deflect most of the rain. my problem is when i have to slow down, or stop. I have a rain-suit all picked out at Wingstuff, but for some reason they want money first, before they send it.

I think i have a hot PVC rain coat somewhere, and maybe the pants to go with it. but like i said, they are HOT

Hey Travis... I have a '91 Aspencade and don't know if the recall on the BAS has been done. Don't know if there's any way to tell. If they're doing it on your '88 my '91 should fall under the same category. It hasn't been a problem but if it's a free upgrade, why not. Anyone know how to tell if it's been done?
Thanks,
Strat

I hope you don't get rained on. Years ago I had a tourmaster light pvc rain suit when I lived in Florida, I don't know which was worse wearing the rain suit to keep dry or sweating while wearing it. Most of the time I just got rained on and then dried out when the sun came out. Went with FroggToggs after that and was always dry.
Yes, there's an 'X' present. You'll see the X above the brake pedal pad between the motor mount supports, see diagram in SB.
Here's the SB: http://www.gwrraiachapa.com/bulletins/1500SB6.pdf

That's a nice one, I'd go with the yellow also. Price isn't bad either I paid more than that for the tourmaster, as you had to buy each piece separate. I wear a Hi-viz yellow hat with reflective trim when taking a walk.

the hot reference was in regards to me having to wear a PVC raincoat. the raincoat does not breath, therefore it gets really hot.

but yes, we have had triple-digit temps here. so it does get hot here.
i am sure in Texas, you have had hotter temps, but how many winters have you had -40degF temps?

the way i see it, i can stand the cold better than i can stand the heat. with the cold, you can always add more clothing. but with the heat, you can only take off so many pieces of clothing, before it becomes an "indecent exposure" legal charge.
