Question

Last night Betty came home from the Neighborhood Christmas Party. ( I couldn't go because of my recent foot surgery) with an interesting fact from one of the games they played. Some of you know us and a few have even visited us at our home. So here is one of the questions that was ask.
What is it about the town of Sumas that makes it unique from any other town in the lower 48 states. No other city or town in the lower 28 states can claim this no mater how hard they try. Coffee at our house to the one that gets it right.

Well yah there is that but that's not the answer. We don't live in the city limits.

Is it perchance the only town in the lower 48 that extends above the 49th parallel?

Northern most town in US. On a side note, very small at 1.48 square miles. Dinky town.
