Ok, after years of riding street and dirt bikes and not dropping any of them. I bought a 2016 Candy Red Wing and one week after getting it home I drop it in my friend's driveway with the wife on the back (I know it was her fault, but don't tell her I said that!), good thing I watched some videos on how to pick it up.

I feel your pain, No matter what year you have, it's your dream bike and you wander what happened. Once it starts to go I can't stop it and it doesn't take much to the left or the right and there it goes. I've dropped mine twice, once on each side. Decided if the right side bars are scratched I might as well have a matched set of two sets. Front and back.

Did you have any damage or just land on the bars?

Candy RED the fast one!!

No damage to the bike, it was a zero speed drop. My pride however was messed up for a few days.

No need for damaged pride, Jim. Quite the obvious. This is a right of passage in to Goldwingdom.

PS: Pam didn't believe me when I said its a part of the scheduled maintenance.

Ride often. Ride far. Ride safe and do much more of both.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach him how to surf the GWOF and he won't bother you for weeks, maybe months
I'll be waitin' for you at the end of the road.
If everything had gone as planned, it would not have been an adventure.

Welcome to the club. I dropped my after 2 weeks but the wife was no where around. Had to take all the blame. Glad you watched the video beforehand. I immediately grabbed my phone to find how to get it back on 2 wheels.

Now to get you a number.

Well, not sure if you can earn more then one number or not, but we dropped the 1800 for the first time at the TOH Banquet this past weekend. It was a very slow drop. Trying to move to a different parking spot, and the front wheel hit a high spot, and over we went.. Made a good impression on some TOH members who I hadn't met yet. 😏
