I hear you Chris, beats me where all these "guests" are and what they're up to. Many are bots I reckon, some are spammers and scammers, some are just lurkers, and others well goodness knows what they may be.
But anyway, the list of 83 odd IDMWT is what I'd call a short list of the reality of riders. Like we say, there's two kinds: those that admit it and those that hide it from the rest of the world LOL.
In the nearly 45 years I've been riding and the number of bikes I owned in that time I have some fingers left on one hand of counting the ones I didn't drop...

grab all the kicks you can baby, you only make this scene once!

There's a LOT of other members here. Shy I guess.

I now have a nice gold Guardian Bell and have not had any drops or problems since the install. I hope it keeps ringing!!

Assign me a number!

Hilarious thread! I feel a little less embarrassed, guys, thanks!

I just bought my 2005 Goldwing (1800) last week. Saturday, I was backing it out of the garage and either the license tag, one of the tail pipes or whatever got hung in the fender of my Civic that was parked in the car port. (Well, at least they're both Hondas!).

Anyway, after hanging it the bike was in enough of a left-leaning position (I was trying to hold it up) that it was impossible for me to try to kick the thing into gear or anything and I wasn't strong enough to "manhandle" the bike forward. So, I decided "what the hell" and had to let her drop, tossing me off the left side. That did, of course, free the tangle with the car but left the GW sitting on it's bars. My daughter came by and the two of us had no trouble righting the thing. (I haven't learned how to do it myself yet even with the back-lift but I'm sure I'll learn).

So, go ahead and assign me a number! Maybe this will get it out of my system early! (I dropped my Kawi like that once, too, early in my ownership of it. Guess it's a rite of passage! ;-))

Call it self-initiation or "right of passage" (as I have said many times) or what you will. Pam didn't believe me when I told her it was a part of the scheduled maintenance. But there will be more.

Ride often. Ride far. Ride safe and do much more of both.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach him how to surf the GWOF and he won't bother you for weeks, maybe months
I'll be waitin' for you at the end of the road.
If everything had gone as planned, it would not have been an adventure.

Glad there was no damage (ego does not count). Welcome to the club. Wear your number with modesty (once Charlie gives it to you).

I almost added another drop to my list a couple of weeks ago.
I was last in line in a construction stoppage and was watching my mirrors close and a truck was coming up fast, then I heard tires squalling so I dumped the clutch to get up to the left side of the SUV in front of me to get out of the way, killed the bike and it was all I could to to hold it up. By the way.... the SUV was a Sheriff's Deputy.... dont think he even knew how close we both came to getting hit. I have vowed to not take that road again until the bridge is finished next year.

But as you found out, a slow drop never hurts a thing other than your pride.

I dropped my 2015 just a couple of weeks after I bought it. You need to learn to pick it up alone. There's a good video on YouTube. I was surprised how easy it was after I watched the video.

Welcome to the IDMWT club. Unfortunately I don't believe it is that exclusive and all Wing owners are someday going to be members (if they admit it).

Thanks, will watch the video. Yeah, from what I'm reading it does seem like there should be a 1:1 correspondence between owners and drops!
