Last two tanks I have gotten over 54 mpg. I havenít checked it in a while but I was averaging around 42.

Just topped 50k on the odometer. Maybe I finally got it broke in 😁

If you just tootle along and keep the rpm's down, the miles/gallon do go up nicely. But those are some great numbers. I get right at 39/40 mpg with a mix of city and interstate going to work and back.

That is amazing. As Mark said if I just am in backcountry roads doing 50 MPH my mileage is about 45 MPG. Highway speeds are about 40-42 MPG. Nothing close to that.

I actually thought I had miscalculated on the first tank. Was pleasantly surprised. We were on back curvy roads in a group so I’m sure that helped.

I’ll take it

Maybe your calculator is broken.

It depends a lot on where you live. At sea level most wings will post low 40's to high 30's at highway speed but in high altitudes the efficiency goes up due to leaner mixtures and 50 is not uncommon. In general 38 is a good number for average.

I drive 56 miles a day round trip to work and back and about 50 of those are open road. On 2 lane highways I run 62-65mph and on the interstate run 70 and average right around 40 mpg, some weeks are better and some are worse depending how my grips the throttle LOL
