Anti dive rubber Oring

Working on the front forks of the 1500 I noticed I cant get the O ring back in the groove its not split or looking bad just larger now than the groove will take where the Anti dive plate bolts on, Do you guys always just replace that? I didn't know if it would shrink back up not being exposed to fork oil for a bit,Guess its time for a trip back to honda on tues.

Just my personal opinion (and I've never torn my forks apart) given it is a rubber part subjected to likely significant force in sealing, I'd replace the ring just to be safe. Not like it's a bizillion dollar part...

grab all the kicks you can baby, you only make this scene once!
