ST

As a new (2 weeks) wing owner and a 150,000 mile plus ST rider I have to add my bit. The ST's are just really good bikes - not up to par with new STuff in many ways, especially HP, but for 600 lb bikes they handle really well, more so with fork internals changed, and, like the wing they are bullet proof. One has 100k and one has 130 k miles. Let's hope I enjoy the wing nearly as much.
Way back in the thread it was said that the ST seat pushes you forward - I have the same issue on the 1500 - could it be that the 1500 seat foam is worn out at near to 100k miles, or is it normal?

Yes that very well may be an issue, there are some guys who have them redone. Myself I subscribe to the purchase of a Hartco seat w/backrest ad all is good.

Phil, what are you getting for fuel mileage? I'm looking at purchasing something to commute on. My Venture is as bad for fuel as the wing with sidecar, my Vulcan is a might light for interstate speeds but great for mpg

I haven't ridden cousin jeff's '04 st 1300 but I have sat on it a few times. it seems to fit me well. jeff said the sargent seat made a big difference phil and he just installed a pensky shock last Thursday. I'm not relly looking but just finding info on the st 1300 and the fjr 1300

Bob, while I was in Ky I was averaging 48. That's pretty normal.

I am in the process of trading for an RDL. Hopefully that will do the trick.
