At this rate, I could make a fair living giving test rides

Here's your bike Phil stripped down. Maybe like this you can run a sub 11 sec. quarter. You and Pete can get a matching pair.

Remember you want to make that S turn right after you get up to top speed and then have the BOYs to through it around just a little more.

I think your assessment is right on the mark REF, and I don't want to steal your thi=under. 1st thing I did with mine was to put a Givi tgrunk and back pad on it, then replace that manky stock seat with a Corbin dual sport (heated) tour. Then I added a Throttlemeister (in hindsight I would have rather had the electronic cruise that is avilable from Australia, but didn't want to lay out another grand for it at the time). Then I put a marine audio system in the left fairing pocket and speakers mounted on the shelter in front of the empty grilles left over from the Pan Euro version (another mistake Honda made not offering a radio in North America). That made it just about perfect and I loved every poop eating grin per mile.

grab all the kicks you can baby, you only make this scene once!

Daryl, sounds like your ST morphed into a baby Goldwing. Only thing lacking was the reclining leather seat and the Teddy Bear. BTW, how you liking the motor drive on your Windbender?

From a person who has a ST and has 88,000 miles on it I agree it's a great bike and has been easy to maintain. One of the first things I did when I bought it was put a Russel seat on it and have be happy every since. Of course it was the only bike that I ever got a speeding ticket on. Doing 75 in a 45 zone. Was splitting cars when the Highway Patrol (on a BMW) turned on his lights. After telling him my best jokes he only wrote me up for 60 in a 45.
I even chased down a Kaw Connie and a FJR on Hwy 50 in Utah doing 120 mph. They were hard to catch as I closed in they spead up.
The bad part about a ST is the tire life. I only get 6 or 7k on the rear and 9k on the front.

Roads....as long as they keep building them I will keep riding them...
