for about a third the price, everything else will be the same as new, simply because mother Honda hasn't changed a damn thing worth mentioning since 2001.

I have a very nice '02 and I can't see paying for ABS, or that stupidly crappy POS thing they call a NAV....

I have a Garmin 2797, yes a 7 inch screen that I can really see!
mounted to the handlebar with a RAM mount, it is solid as a rock, and does not interfere with me seeing all of the gauges on the panel.

I also have it wired into the intercom, so I can hear it talk to me....
most of the time, it is on the Details page with the current Speed nice and big....
I do NOT want any speeding tickets.
and the speedometer is off 6+ mph, what a POS that thing is... there is NO excuse for the speedometer having any error at all, much less 6 mph at 65 mph.
It's a thought, but the minor changes that have been made over the years to the fairing and such, give the newer bikes a bit more of an athletic look, in my opinion. I prefer that.

that still leaves 2012 and up, which is what I was referring to.

Gently used with 18 months to 3 years off the showroom floor...

use this little tool and watch to see what keeps popping up.

www.searchtempest.com and set the radius to 3000 miles.

all of CL, plus eBay, plus Amazon....

I always set it to search "titles only" and it will NOT give you links to all of the riff raff junk that both eBay and Amazon insist that you see that has absolutely nothing to do with what you are looking for.

Here it is, already programmed to do just what I said...

http://www.searchtempest.com/search?...in&maxYear=max

In this search, the only thing I asked to find was 'gl1800'
so that brings up riding gear, etc...

if you use 'gl1800 motorcycle' that will restrict it a bit more.
but, the problem is, people do NOT know how to create a title for what they are selling.
about the only thing you can "almost" be sure of, is the "gl1800" and just "1800" or maybe "honda 1800" or "honda gl1800"

you have to try as many possible conjugations of the search terms as you can think of.

KISS is more, that is always true with search engines.

ie, search for "Honda GL1800 ABS Titanium motorcycle"
and I guarantee there will not be a single hit for you to look at.
it is just simply too much junk.... and non one is going to include all of that in a title.

do NOT search thru the Descriptions..... people add tag words there on purpose so that when they sell a Harley, they want to grab a Honda rider and convert them to their crowd.... uh, no thank you.

If you put in one more little search requirement, Minimum Price.

you can filter out all of the garbage riding apparel, lamp lenses, etc...

here, I did just exactly that. I set the Minimum Price to 5,000 and the only thing it reported back with was Motorcycles.

no crap, no lights, no brakes, no riding jackets, none of that stuff will be priced anywhere near $5,000

you have to "out think" search engines, and make them do what you want them to.
