Believe me Dan, I have done some really dumb, scratch that, some really stupid financial deals in the past. Thank god, those days are behind us, but we did learn from them. Some will say we are being stupid doing this, but riding is a thing both Carol and I enjoy doing together. It makes us happy so we are going to continue, period. She isn't far from retirement and if this all works out the way I have planned, we'll go into retirement with a pretty descent paid for bike. We don't want to set on the front porch and watch the world go by in retirement. We want to get on our Goldwing and go. George and Norma have been a real inspiration to us.

As for the HOBO outriggers, We rode the others and bought the best, new installed for $2000 out the door.

Wow 2k new & installed. That's fantastic. Glad you like because I was not going to recommend Tow Pac.

Alan, check out this guy in Dallas before making a decision. I've dealt with him before and he's really good. He usually gets repo'd bikes from all over and sells them at wholesale. He also usually has more than he shows on his site.

At least 3.5% is a world better than 25. At 3.5 you're almost getting free financing as the rate of inflation is close to that.

I was really kind of surprised to find that low, but I've got it in writing. Time will tell.

Got that right. My Suzuki credit card was highway robbery or getting fleeced by the banks as it were. Hated to sell my first new bike a year later but I'd have one foot in the grave before it was paid off.

Well folks, we can't take possession until sometime next week, but are the proud new owners of a 2008 GL1800.
