You're right, Bill. After 40+ years of motorcycle riding, I felt like a complete fool when I saw that tire! Forgot how quickly they wear down towards the end of their life! As I've said on here, my Guardian Angel is the hardest working GA God's got!

Keep them aired up and an eye one them. I've always had pretty good luck as long as I did that. If I stay on the ball I've gotten 15,000 to 20,000 miles out of a set.

I've got 12,000 on my stones now and still have some to go. I'll be changing them in a couple of weeks. I don't like to get to the wear bars before I change. I'll be ordering the new tires in a couple of days. Glad you weren't riding and had a blow out. Your guardian angel was watching over you on that ride.

I run about 42psi in the back and 40 in the front. You can all bet I will be a littler more diligent on checking tires and not just the pressure.

That's really low/poor mileage for a 1500 tire.

you know Speedy I was expecting a lot more out of the stones but it was not to be, the front still looks new. I am going darkside with taxi tire, weight limit on the austone is almost double of the M/T.
