Take off your right side engine cover and spray some Triflow onto the reverse cable ends at the lost motion plate and pulley, then cycle it into and out of reverse about a dozen times and see it stops the clicking. This is a common issue and a little lube needs to be applied back there every time you change your oil.

So, is it still clicking intermittently? If so, a cable adjustment will need to be done. If you allow it to click too much, you will round off the teeth of the reverse gear and it will get worse, then never backup without pulling the engine out of the frame and replacing the gear.
