Windshield Clean and Treat

I have checked previous discussions on this, but didn't find any recent ones so I'll ask: what are the recommendations for "proper" cleaning and treating the windshield. I'm leaning towards "Rain X for Plastics", but if there's a better one, then I'd like to know. Thanks...

I clean with windex and then apply RainX for plastic. I believe that RainX for plastic is not a cleaner .

I use Pledge Multi-Surface.... followed by Mequiar's Quick Wax

use the same combo on my truck and car windows as well....
use pledge mulit surface on glass once and you will never use windex again

I use plain water in a small spray bottle and a soft cloth. . I use regular car wax on the windshield, it works great to repel water

I use pledge to clean the windshield and it works great. Since I looked over top of the windshield when it’s raining, water shedding issues doesn’t apply to me. If you have to look through your windshield in the rain, rainx for plastics and regular car wax works great.
