83 goldwing stopped running, no lights or turn over with key on

hey guys, had my 84 Goldwing running today and it was running damn good. all of the sudden she died. turned the key off and on and now no headlight or taillights and no turn over when I hit the ignition button. ive got 12 volts from the battery. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to GWOF from Down Under.

It sound like the ignition switch. There is a plate under the switch that wears out.

Eric is probably right, that's a fairly common failure on the 1200.

Brand new ignition switch too , just put it in about a week ago

Ok..................if you still have the dog bone 30 amp fuse near the battery. Change it out with the car style bayonet 30 amp fuse.

If you turn the key on and wriggle the key and the ignition come on and off. It sounds like an ignition problem. But if that is ok...............check to see if the 30 dog bone fuse is still there. If it is, replace it with the car style bayonet 30 amp fuse.

When all else fails.......... use a hammer!
