Unhappy Sold my Wing

Hi folks....it is with heavy heart that I sold my beloved '91 Aspencade. Due to health reasons (my wife's), the long trips are a thing of the past.
It was the fastest colour (black) and was maintained religiously over the many years I've had it.
Not to say die, I bought an 1100 Shadow (2000). It's in great shape but compared to the Wing it drives like a tractor. But I hear "born to be wild" when I fire it up
Obviously you can't compare them, 2 totally different beasts.
It will be good for the short rides but I already miss my Wing.
God willing, next year I can see a used 1800 in our future That makes me smile .
Ain't no way I'm leaving the forum...too many friends here...you'll have to kick me out.
Ride safe,
Strat

Sorry to hear about your wife's health. To bad you could not have kept the wing for just riding around locally.

Could of kept her Ron but the Shadow is about 300 lbs lighter. It's kind of like the Sportster I wanted back in the day. At 71, maybe I'm having another mid life crisis.
It cost me a few bucks to keep everything the way it should be on the Wing....motor last forever but at 28 years old other stuff starts to go. I'm not that much of a wrench.

You have to do what's right for you at the time.
And all the best for your wife

Thanks Ron and all the best to you as well.
I'm reading about Jim Bridger who was out in your country.

I'm been through Bridger Mt. several time, lots of good riding in that part of the country.

Sure sorry to hear about your wife's health issues. But glad you found a bike to keep you in the wind.

Sorry to hear about your wife! The shadow is a great bike! I own a 2002 1100 spirit and I love that thing! I'm currently getting it ready for my gorgeous wife to take over. Good luck with your Shadow!
