frustrated with harley parts people.

I don't know if this would be just to vent or asking for suggestions. I was looking into full rear air ride systems and it seem that all I find are for Harleys or 2018 and up wings. when I see a system that looks like it might fir I send an email asking for info and it seems since I am asking about a wing they don't even have the respect to answer even an sorry it wont work. Harley people kinda suck with there noses stuck in the air.

Harleys use a showa air/coil over shock on the rear - exact same units the 2001 and prior valkyries use. On the HDs the front forks are also pressurized. None of these are very good compared to standard coilovers especially the progressive units. You don't want to buy from harley as they will charge huge dollars. Go on eBay instead. I have tossed many of the air/coil over showa's in the dumpster as they just don't cut it.

That's why so many of us with 1200 and 1500 models went to standard coil-over shocks (Progressive usually) when the fittings and air pots went sideways. Obviously for a "slammer" custom application there is not much choice but to go with an air system, but that's kind of a unique build.

grab all the kicks you can baby, you only make this scene once!

You didn't specify year, which make a LOT of difference. The GL1800s use a mono shock, coil spring, oil preload system on a single-sided swing arm. Nothing HD used comes close. These are companies like Traxxion, Inc and Progressive that make specialized GL1800 and HD setups. Give one of them a call, but don't expect air-ride on an 1800. Traxxion can tune their setup to your desired ride however.
