Angry The Entertainment System is NOT WORKING

I was out riding on Saturday & while I'm motoring along the Entertainment System stopped putting sound to my helmet & the CD player disappeared from the screen. I pulled over and switched off waited five minutes and switched on and started the bike & still no CD player showing in the screen. T tried to go to AUX, Radio & I could not change or see any Radio, AUX or Cd on the screen. I tried shutting it down again and restarting still the same.
I opened the trunk and looked at the CD player and it was working. I could change from one CD to another but still no CD player showing in the screen and no sound.
I have looked at Fuses and all seem to be good.

Where to or what to try now?

Thanks,
Macca1066.

I have an mp3 player in the place where the cd resides. It does that to me sometimes also. Usually until I shut down for a break. I figured it is the card in the player. Hope letting it rests works for you too.

I've had a couple of these silence with the sound system. Both times it was me somehow accidentally changing a setting on the control panel.

But as you say the screen shows no input so there may be some gremlin at work. Here's hoping that Mark is right and a rest cures it.

grab all the kicks you can baby, you only make this scene once!

I have a 2009 GL1800 (Lux).

My original post is here ...

check the connectors for the nav system. The display is generated and controlled by the nav board. The nav board controls the audio as well so that it can interrupt what you are listening to . Sorry I don't have any info on the location of the connector on the 2009.

One last question is this a US of Canadian bike ? There is a difference between 2009 - 2010 bikes.

Neither American or Canadian, it is Australian.

It is now 09:30 on Tuesday 11th of June at Belmont NSW Australia.

I'll try to find the Nav. Board.

Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions, I do appreciate it.

Thanks,
Macca1066

Wo that a curve . The nav board should be in the trunk, on the front wall behind the seat. If it is similar to other 2006 - 2010 Canadian wings the cable for the nav comes out on the lower right side under the seat , as you site on the bike , of the trunk. With a little care you can follow it up to the right top shell pocket.
