I moved to UT last year and my rates with Geico were going to go up big time. I searched and Daryland was the best for my area. I had the same thing happen when I moved from WA state to So Cal.

Just make sure when you are checking prices, your coverage and deductible are the same. That way you are comparing apples to apples.
Same rules apply in Canada. I use Aviva (as Budoka does) and I'm in Ontario. He's at the other end of the world in Alberta someplace
For my '91 Aspencade, I'm paying about $600 CDN, bare bones coverage. Before I switched to Aviva (2 years ago) I was paying $1100 CDN.
For a '91!!

Lots of things will affect the cost. some say they pay $200 some pay $500. Things to remember is how much coverage do they have and what is their deductible and another big factor is where they live and how many miles they ride each year. . The best way is to check with different companies yourself and use the same coverage. I use GEICO in Calif. and no other company has ever beet them.

There are so many variables in how insurance companies come up with prices that it is impossible to compare rates from one customer to another, and one company to another. the best you can do is get quotes from several companies and choose the coverage that works for you.

Then check into rates again every few years. So many different companies trying to jockey for position and your $$$$

One of the discounts on my new policy was for transferring from a different company!

Of course the more policies you can get with one company the cheaper it gets.

Once upon a time, I was always able use my School Bus Certification renewal course every 3 years as advanced driver training. But then they made some changes in the rules that say "If the training is required for your job" it doesn't count.

It is all so bogus.......... there were X number of wrecks with vehicles of your type in your area last year..... you get to pay for it with higher rates............ or stolen vehicles of your type....... or storm damage in your area.... and on and on and f&^^(* in on it goes. But never is there...... hey there was X% decrease in your area..... here is a discount.
