Intercom noise

I think I have read about engine noise coming thru on the intercom. Last week while riding two up on my 2008 I noticed the noise more than I thought was usual. It was a quiet evening so I killed the intercom and it was so awesomely quiet. Turned it back on and it was now annoying. I'm told it is unavoidable. True? Any fixes? Always appreciate the info I read here. Thanx.

In-line noise suppressor. Call Sierra Electronics for options.

Talk to Larry @ Wingconnect.com? He has an option for $65.00 for a Microphonics upgrade.

Way back when I owned a 1999 Valkyrie Interstate, the beautiful black and red model, I had the same issue with the wired intercom system on it. I installed electrical filters to suppress the noise but they had to be grounded to the motorcycle to really work well. Probably your best solution is to get a pair of Cardo Packtalk intercoms which don't have any noise. You can even talk to the wife, if she keeps her helmet on, while she is in the store getting a cup of coffee while you fill up the bike. With wireless communication getting on and off the bike is easier also.
