seriously considering wrapping motorcycle

The more and more I watch this on YouTube, the more and more I want to give this a shot! I have a red F6B in want to turn it into the white Matt finish, of course it's not going to be as good looking as what's on the 15/16 paint, but hoping it will get close, looking at 3M products. Looks like a heat gun and a few tools is all you're looking at, people claim a hundred bucks would do the trick! Also have questions on what do you reattach the badging with after you're done. I think I'm pretty clear on how to get it off, blow dryer or heat gun, then the fishing line or dental floss sewing behind the badging. If anybody's wrapped a Goldwing or F6B appreciate any help!

I hear ya! I've been pretty intrigued with wraps for a couple of years. I've bought some and tried wrapping my front fender - figured if I could do a decent job of that I'd proceed to the next piece and onward till I was done. Well, my bike is still the original titanium . Man, I butchered it. Some day I'm thinking of taking the 3M course on applying it.

If you keep searching the forum, you should find one example of someone who I believe did theirs in matte black.

Good luck if you decide to proceed and please do post pics.

Now you got me scared LOL! Do you remember how much you bought? The cost of the Roll? I don't know I love that titanium, I might not change that if I had it! LOL

It was relatively inexpensive. I think I bought 5 yards (or meters?) For about $27/yard. The special squeegee was probably another $10. And remember that's $CDN. I think one thing that messed me up was that I had the fender sitting loose on a table. I think I'd have had a better chance if it had been immobile. I think that's why it looks so manageable in videos of wrapping cars - they don't move!

Good luck! Maybe your success will motivate me to try again. 3M makes some really great colours.

I don't know about this wrap stuff, but when I was a young guy, say 60ty years about in Auto Body shop, you never painted white over red, it would eventually turn pink. This wrap probably wouldn't let the red bleed through but you might want to check it out just in case.
To reapply the emblems get some double side automotive molding tape at your local NAPA store.

Rather than Wrap, decorate it for the Holidays season.
