He is having to give up road trips due to health issues. He wants a bit more than I budgeted, $2,100 but I'm thinking unless you all think the mileage is excessively high, it is a good deal.
A higher miles bike is a way of getting a very good bike. But as I have found, my idea of a well kept bike and some other people's idea of a well kept bike are not the same. You need to see the bike and be will to walk away if it is not well kept. Good luck with this bike. And by the way I have had 3 bike's that ran well with 130k miles.

When all else fails.......... use a hammer!

Welcome from the northern tier of PA. Like others have said check the bike out and be willing to walk away if you have to. Many riders have gotten over 100,000 on wings. Ron is WA had 200,000 on his when he sold it. Good maintenance is the key. Enjoy the forum and ride safe.

Welcome Pamtha. Some of us will be in Powell in a few weeks and will definitely help out if you haven't bought by then. That 1500 in spite of the miles should be good though. Our member Ron has run 1500s well over 200k with no issues other than regular maintenance and his old "Big Red" is still going strong. A well looked after 1500 is a gold mine!

grab all the kicks you can baby, you only make this scene once!

Available Bikes -

Hey Pamtha - Since you're looking at the long term ownership of a Goldwing, selecting the right one is important. You might consider Budoka's offer to look over the bike you're interested in. I think he and his flying circus plan to gather up and ride the Beartooth Highway area in a few weeks.

This would also give you some additional time to look over the available bikes in the area.

Good Luck,Michael

The motorcycle is in a town outside of Denver, does anyone live out that direction who might be able to look at it for me? If we go down, it's a 16 hr round trip so it would be nice to have someone else's positive feedback.

Easy to post a pic. In the box below all the posts fill it in as you have been doing and then hit the blue button 'Go Advanced' and it will take you to another page and when you scroll down you'll see 'Additional Options' and there you'll find 'Attach Files' and a blue button that says 'Manage Attachments' and when you click on it another window opens and you have 2 choices 'Upload from your computer' or a URL. Most likely you'll upload from your hard drive the images, hit browse, select the image and then 'Upload'.

Cute little guy there! Okay, let's see if this will work.
These are the 2 Goldwings I have found that appear to be pretty decent.
Goldwing '89 1500 should be here. 130K+ miles on it. $2,100 In the next post I will put up pictures of the other one.
