Great write-up resuming well what I feel too when I am riding my Wing for long distance trips. Your wing is the same color as mine, I love this grey. Coming from the ST are you not missing the adjustable windshield? I bought my wing after 10 years of riding a BMW k1200LT and one of the things from my previous bike that I still miss is the electric adjustable windshield. One upgrade I did to my Wing which improved the riding experience tremendously is replacing the front suspension with Progressive Monotube. I felt the stock suspension on the Wing to be harsh and not on par with the rest of the bike. Does your Wing still have the stock suspension?

Yes. I loved my power windshield on the ST1300. The Wing's shield is still good just not as good as the ST 1300.

My Wing has the adjustable Heli bars, Traxxion brace, Traxxion rear spring, Race Tech Fork Springs and the braided lines. So it handles and rides well. The seat has been reworked and is comfortable for about 125 miles but not near as comfortable as the seat I had on my ST1300.

My ST1300 did not have electronic cruise control, heated grips, or heated seat. It was still a very comfortable bike for long distance because it is so smooth and the Russel Day-Long seat was fantastic.

Cheers!
