I always wave whenever possible. I think it shows that we can be civil and everyone can enjoy the ride.

The Harley rider won't wave

Totally agree Dwight. I wave at all bikes...I wave at kids on bicycles.

They do around here, have more Harley riders wave than the younger crowd on crotch rockets. But that could be due to riding position on the crotch rockets, can't really let go.

There were so many bikes in the USA and most of them waved. I nearly waved my wave arm right off. There are not many bikes over here to wave too. in my last 950 mile ride there would have been no more that 6 bikes for the whole trip.

When all else fails.......... use a hammer!

I wave unless it interferes with me keeping the bike upright, in that case I give a head nod.

I wave as well, if they don't wave back, I've been known to wave with both hands. That usually gets a response. lol!

I came across 7 V-twins this morning (I think all were Harleys except my riding buddies who would have made 9), I waved at them all and no one waved back. Of course, 2 of them were on the interstate, but the rest were on secondary roads. (Yes, I was on my bike and no, I did not use the one fingered wave.) While this is not too unusual around here, a complete shutout is very unusual. Perhaps it is too early in the season for folks to feel comfortable letting go with one hand. Or the 97 f temperature my bike was showing put them in a sour mood with that furnace between their legs. I was actually comfortable in my new Joe Rocket gear. No matter, I will keep being friendly to all.
