Looking at '93 Aspencade with Bushtec trailer...thoughts?

Greetings Goldwings folks, I am looking at a '93 Aspencade with Bushtec Turbo 2 GT trailer (matching paint) and 5 helmets (don't know why there are 5! LOL) - 2 of the helmets have the intercom installed - from a local dealer. The bike has about 87,000 miles on it and from the pictures looks absolutely mint. I have experience with Suzuki cruisers and Harley's and do most of my own wrenching but the Goldwing is a little new for me. My wife and I want to ride together...my main ride is a Bourget Chopper...not exactly conducive to tandem riding! LOL They're asking $4900 for everything...Here's what the ad said: "This is a 1993 Goldwing GL1500 Aspencade. It has never been wrecked and has a clean title with 86,700 miles. It is Candy Spectra Red with airbrushed pinstripes. This is a packege deal that also includes a 1996 Bushtec Turbo+2 GT trailer. It was painted Candy Spectra Red to match and has the same pinstripes. In addition to all of the stock features that normally came on a 1993 Aspencade, this bike also has many other extras. They are listed below. The bike has a new battery, runs perfectly and everything works as it should.

Air Horn

Voltmeter

Fairing Side Lights

Trunk Side Lights

Saddlebag Lights

Rings Of Fire

Foam Grips

Carpet Set

Lighted Trunk Spoiler

Flag Pole with Flag

Lighted License Accent

Trailer Hitch

Lighted Mud Flap

Brake Light Flasher

Progressive Fork Springs

CB Radio

Passenger Push To Talk Button

Custom Seat with Driver Backrest

Passenger Armrests with Matching Covers and Pouch

Driver Floorboards with Heel Toe Shifter

Pinstriping

Highway Pegs

Lower Cowl Driving Lights

F4 Windshield

Auxiliary Fuse Block

Auxiliary Switch Block

Bike Cover

Trunk Dividers

Saddlebag Storage Nets

Chrome Engine Covers

Chrome Side Fairing Moldings

Chrome Upper Vents

Chrome Lower Vents

Chrome Hot Air Vents

Chrome Brake and Clutch Levers

Chrome Kickstand Extension

Chrome Mirror Back Accents

Chrome Trunk Rack

Chrome Instrument Accent

Chrome Reverse Cover

Chrome Rotor Covers

Chrome Front Fender Extension

Chrome Lower Cowl

Chrome Radiator Grilles

Chrome Fork Caps

Chrome Helmet Lock Extensions

Chrome Driving Light Trim Rings

There also 5 helmets that come with this package. Three are red. Two have headsets installed. Two are HJC and one is Shoei."

Seems like a good deal to me as I see people putting crazy amounts of miles on Goldwings and they just keep going and going, but I thought I'd try to get some experienced folk's opinions...whadaya think?

Sounds a lot like my old 93 with out the trailer, It has at least a couple thousand of extras plus the trailer. If it's in really good shape it could be worth close to that with the trailer. 89,000 miles really isn't a lot. My old 93 had 210,000 miles on and it is still running great,

Hey thanks for responding Ron. Yeah, every time I turn around I see Goldwings from like '84 still running strong with a ton of miles on them! I've spent a lot of time today on eBay, Cycletrader, Craigslist, etc. and that price seems pretty good with all the extras on the bike and the trailer and the helmets...those trailers are expensive! I'm gonna look at it tomorrow and see how it goes...

I'm in Munroe Falls, OH which is near Akron. I'm pretty convinced I'll end up with a Goldwing at some point for my wife and me. If not this one another one. I ride ALOT! Mostly on the Bourget chopper (which I LOVE), but would like to ride with the wife on trips and the Goldwing seems to be the ticket for that! I always call them the Mercedes of bikes...they have everything! I've been to Biketoberfest in Daytona a couple of years and a few other rallies around the country. Planning on making it to Sturgis at some point to check it off the list, plus it is BEAUTIFUL for riding in that part of South Dakota.

Welcome along to the GWOF from your Keystone Neighbor (we've been through your area many times, stayed at the Hampton Inn at Kent exit at least 3 times). Best of luck on your quest and if you land that 1500 come on over to eastern Pa for the Memorial Day weekend. We have a Covered Bridge M&G scheduled.
