What kind of headset to pair with the 2018?

What will 2018 Goldwing riders have to buy to connect with the bluetooth on the bike? Can you buy a Sena from aftermarket? Will Sena and it's competitors all work with the 2018 Goldwing?
What is this going to cost, above and beyond the price of the bike? Who will make this stuff work, the dealer or me? Any help with these questions would be appreciated.....inquiring minds want to know.

I'll have some answers after the meeting next Wednesday. Until then, I'm in the dark too.

Gentlemen,
That is like asking which motorcycle has two wheels...if I understand the question correctly.

The headset is not what you 'pair' with the electronic sys on the bike, it would be a Bluetooth gadget. All Bluetooth would pair. I recommend Sena; I think their latest upgrade is the Sena30. I have the Sena20.

I ain't recommending cause I used, but because it seems to be the most popular.

You will be able to pair your Bluetooth either with your phone as a stand alone or through the computer-electronics on the bike.

The headset that comes will your Bluetooth of choice will send to your helmet all info: music, GPS direction etc your little heart desires.

...if I misunderstood your question, sorry...never mind then...I still love man!

Be careful in assuming that just because all Bluetooth gadget will pair that they will work with the new bike. As I have stated before my 2015 Acura MDX will pair with my phone but they don't work with each other. Acura/Honda's responce my phone is not on their approved list. My suggestion is wait until Honda has an approved/recommneded list before buying anything.

I did not know that.

I was under the impression Bluetooth connectivity was a standard format

So was I until I bought the MDV. Every other Bluetooth device I have has worked with my phone.

I know on one of the honda videos concerning the new wing, it said that Honda recommended either the Sena 10 or 20s headsets. I cant remember which video, but it is on one of the videos that Honda has produced.

I am going to go out on the limb here and say there will be no more corded coms,,, I really like my J&M corded sets they work great, trouble is the speakers are monsters and will not fit into my new HJC IS Max... Probably goin to end up with the new Sena 30K but not real thrilled about it.

Take a look at the Cardo Scala Rider PakTalk. Not sure about the New Wing, but it has different options for Bluetooth and Mesh Networking to communicate and tie in different Bluetooth devices, ie GPS, Cell and others.
